So I've recently become a weekend intern for an event planning company...I thought it would be a good way to gain experience in the event planning industry, and hopefully help me to find the new job I've been looking for. This past weekend I worked my first 2 events. Saturday was hell; seriously, that is the only way to describe working for 18 in one day. But I don't really want to talk about Saturday. Sunday was the event to remember. The activities that day revolved around the wedding of Travares, a Miami Dolphins player, and Kiki, the creative director of the men's line at Sean John. The wedding was held at The Biltmore Ballrooms and was absolutely stunning. Kiki looked amazing and had the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen. And the guest list was pretty impressive...a hip hop band called B5 and a lot of football players who looked vaguely familiar. And one player that anyone in America would know. That's right...OJ Simpson! His daughter was the maid of honor, and apparently he's a great friend of the family. How insane is that?! He actually was super friendly, but I tried not to get too close!
Now OJ would have been enough to keep the gossip going amongst the staff, but one other name also brought a lot of talk. Kanye "I deserve to win every award" West. He was the date of one of the bride's friends. It was so weird watching everyone interact with him; seriously none of the other guests paid any special attention to him. What a crowd. All I can say is, welcome to Atlanta.

Happy 4th
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We spent most of the day at Melissa and Greg's house (sorry, I mean mansion) eating tons of food, playing pool, croquet and Guitar Hero, and, of course, enjoying a few fireworks. Basically, the only reason I'm even posting today is to prove that I do bake. Ok, maybe this is the first time in like 3 years. But it happened. And everyone said the cake was delicous. My mom would be so proud. Happy Birthday, America!

It's a Coke World
The new and improved World of Coke opened in downtown Atlanta just a few weeks ago, and last Saturday Mark and I decided to check it out. It's definitely bigger and better than the old museum, and has a great location right next to the Aquarium. We had a lot of fun (I liked the whole museum; Mark's favorite was the bottling plant) and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something fun to do. We'd especially recommend the Beverly. The Coke polar bear. Peering through a Coke window.Trying one of the 70 varieties of Coke products we got to sample.A great view of Atlanta.
