Ok, so this post is totally nerdy but oh well. For the past week or 2, I've been trying to get into couponing. Exciting, I know. But, as I have no job and basically no life, I have some free time and decided I should try to save some money. (Next task...start cooking. We'll see how that one goes!)
Anyway, I have to share a recent deal I got, so you can see that couponing may actually be cool.
I went to Walgreens and bought the following:
5 tubes of Almay One Lash Mascara (four were $6.99, one was $7.99)
A pack of 3 little stretchy headbands ($1.29)
Almay foundation ($9.99)
Mouthwash ($1.99)
So here's the fun part...I paid $17.96 for everything. Good deal, right? And that's not all. After paying, I got $15 cash back (in Walgreens money). So basically that's $2.96 for everything. And I'm set for life with mascara.
Do any of you coupon? What are your favorite stores/websites/etc?

I haven't gotten to into couponing yet, but want too. I have a few friends that haven't paid for any items at walgreens/cvs/ridaide in years. Once a month each store has items that are free after rebate. So they buy them then send in there recipts. http://www.southernsavers.com/ This is a good place, I just haven't had the time to get into it. It was one of my new years resolutions that didn't happen
I just started buying the Sunday paper (for $1 on Sat from one of those guys standing at the intersections around town) and clippong coupons in an effort to get our grocery bill under control. I can't claim to be a couponer getting tons of stuff for free, but I have started pairing coupons with Publix's buy 1 get 1 sales, and have gotten some pretty good deals that way.
You KNOW I'm a coupon-er, but you already have my sites (I think) through Mom. Wahoo for saving $$$!
I coupon some-I'll get on a coupon kick and then slack off, then get back on again. I like coupons.com for clippable coupons. There's also shortcuts.com which lets you add coupons to your Kroger Plus card-no clipping coupons, just add the coupons online and then scan your card at Kroger. You can print off a list of your coupons so you can remember what you added to your card. Also, check out mylitterofsix.blogspot.com-this lady is a coupon fool! She tells you what's going on at Target, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, etc and other deals online. Also, if I ever buy anything online, I type in the name of the store or website and the words "coupon codes" into google and I almost always am able to get some sort of discount-usually free shipping or some % off my order. Good luck!
Awesome! Michael would be so proud if I could figure out how to do this.
Please teach me how to coupon! I'm horrible at it and we spend way too much on groceries. I've tried to do it but I suck! What are your secrets?
Isn't funny how when you're stuck at home it brings out this nerdy crafty side of yourself that you didn't know existed? Totally happened to me!
